Defense Verdict - Peter Brandt

On Friday, August 17, 2012, Peter W. Brandt of the Firm's Bloomington office obtained a defense verdict for an ear, nose, and throat doctor after a three day medical malpractice trial in Livingston County. Plaintiff alleged a failure to diagnose the development of a cholesteatoma in his left ear, which ultimately resulted in permanent hearing loss. Plaintiff asked the jury for a quarter of a million dollars after a pre-trial demand. The jury returned a defense verdict after forty minutes of deliberation.
